If you represent a law enforcement agency, government agency, or fire department, you may have never worked with a Search and Rescue organization. Therefore, you might not be familiar with our capabilities. Travis County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) is available to provide you with a meeting to discuss and demonstrate our capabilities in the following areas:
Search Dogs:
We can provide an overview of the various types of search dogs we employ and how they work. We'll provide detail about their abilities when called to a crime scene, locate a lost swimmer, disaster scene or to find a missing elderly Alzheimer patient, lost hunter, or missing child. Feel free to request a demonstration of our K9 abilities.
Ground Searchers:
TCSAR members are available at your request to supplement your efforts in locating a missing person(s). Our members are certified in Hazmat Awareness, Clue Awareness, Crime Scene Preservation, Land Navigation and the NIMS protocol. Feel free to talk to us to understand how we can be utilized as a resource.
Search Management:
TCSAR’s search management abilities can help supplement your Search Management and at your request can lead the Search Management efforts. We understand Lost Person Behavior, know how to use the terrain to our advantage to minimize search time and have a fully-loaded trailer that serves as our Command Post. Feel free to request a meeting to discuss our Search Management abilities.
